Miraphora Mina studied film design at The National Film School, after graduating from Central Saint Martins in Theatre Design. A career in film design followed, and she eventually specialised in graphic and prop design in the art departments of some of the foremost production designers. Through a happy coincidence, she met Eduardo Lima in 2002, when the two of them worked as graphic designers on the Harry Potter film franchise. The next nine years were spent sitting opposite one another – designing, bantering, and conjuring up the company they had yet to form. In 2010 their notion became a reality, and MinaLima Design found its inspirational home in Fitzrovia.
